When the art prints of Laurel Canyon Dreaming found their way into my inbox, I knew I immediately had to share. Penny, the artist behind Laurel Canyon Dreaming, bases each work on original paintings, collages, and drawings she she did or rare antique prints from flea markets. She also adds bits of gold or silver leaf for a metallic touch. Each archival print pulls from a variety of inspirations, including Surrealist women artists of the early 20th century, Art Deco styling, even the magical unknown of the moon and stars.
As artist Penny says: “California dreaming is a state of mind.” I don’t know about you, but I’m straight up dreaming about adding these pieces to my home.
P.S. We’re taking a little Christmas blog break, but will be back in action next Monday. Happy holidays!
