Jordan Sullivan deftly pairs prose and photography. The Los Angeles-based artist and writer is truly a gifted photographer, and what’s captured my attention the most is his Death Valley series. Whether the images are gridded together or presented solo, the impact of the colors and texture is astounding. No surprise, Sullivan has been in many publications, including Vice, Elle, and Dossier Journal.
I’m in the middle of boxing up my things for a move to another city, but as soon as I get settled, I’ve already got a housewarming gift (to myself) in mind: Sullivan’s latest book, The Young Earth, was recently released and I might need it for my coffee table.
