Sometimes you just need to take a break from “serious” art and revel in the sheer fun that illustration can provide. Particularly fun are the works of Erica Salcedo. Bold and quirky, Salcedo specializes in children’s illustration, but in my opinion she absolutely excels at making ordinary animals astoundingly cute.
Salcedo freelances out of her Cenca, Spain, studio for client such as Knock Knock, Bloomsbury UK, and American Greetings. Also, she studied Fine Arts at Castilla-La Mancha University, then went on to receive a masters degree in graphic design and illustration from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
